I finally got the Avada theme for my site. Here are a couple of things I’ve learned along the way: for FTP, don’t get Filezilla. It installs Speeddial and Norton on your computer. Use WinSCP. You also can’t send a theme over from another computer. Each time I did it from my dad’s computer, it broke my site. Finally, when I got it to my site, I FTPed it to my WP-Themes folder. Then I made an entirely new front page (image at top) with a slider, content boxes, and recent posts. The fusion slider is really easy to use, so I would start with that.
